Introduction
Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions form a binding agreement between you and Crystal Compass Haven Kabushiki Kaisha in connection with any service engagement.
1. User Obligations
- Provide accurate information when submitting an enquiry or engaging a service.
- Refrain from prohibited activities, including misrepresentation of intent when requesting services.
- Comply with applicable content guidelines when sharing sample images or data for analysis.
- Services are intended for use by business representatives; no specific age restriction otherwise applies.
2. User Responsibilities
- Compliance with applicable laws and regulations when providing data for analysis.
- Responsibility for ensuring any shared data does not infringe third-party rights.
- Cooperation regarding privacy and data protection during any engagement.
3. Disclaimers and Limitations
- Findings and recommendations are provided on the basis of the samples and data supplied and are not warranted beyond that scope.
- Liability, to the extent permitted by law, is limited to the value of the specific engagement in question.
- Neither party is liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control.
4. Engagement Scope and Deliverables
- An engagement is confirmed by a written scope naming the service, the line or station concerned, the fee, and the dates for the site visit or data handover.
- Visual Inspection Feasibility Study (¥29,800): a site visit for image capture, three weeks of detection testing, results reported by defect class, and lighting and fixture recommendations. The study tests feasibility only; it does not include supply, installation, or tuning of production equipment.
- Defect Record Analysis (¥22,500): three weeks of analysis of two or more years of quality records, clustering by shift, line, or lot, a shortlist of checks worth moving earlier, and a written report. The three weeks begin on receipt of usable data.
- Operator Handover Training (¥16,800): a three-hour on-site session for up to 12 participants, with a printed reference sheet and a written record of the issues raised. A second session for another shift is booked as a separate engagement.
5. Client Cooperation, Site Access and Scheduling
- The client arranges access to the inspection station, a member of quality staff who knows the defect classes, and representative samples, including parts that have been rejected for each class of defect under study.
- Where image capture takes place on the line, the client is responsible for its own safety rules and will brief our staff on them; our staff follow the plant’s instructions on protective equipment and restricted areas.
- Quality records supplied for analysis should be exported in a readable format with field names explained. If records prove incomplete or inconsistent, we will report this within the first week and agree with the client whether to adjust the scope or the timetable.
- A site visit or training session can be moved without charge if we are told at least three working days in advance. Cancellation closer to the date, or after analysis work has started, may be charged for the work and travel already committed, itemised in writing.
6. Confidentiality, Data and Results
- Sample images, drawings, defect records, and production volumes supplied by the client are confidential. They are used only for the engagement, are not used to train methods for other clients, and are returned or deleted at the end of the engagement on request.
- Detection rates reported in a feasibility study describe performance on the samples and lighting tested. They are not a warranty that a production system will achieve the same rates once parts, suppliers, or lighting change.
- A person at the client confirms every result in production. The client remains responsible for its own release decisions, customer quality agreements, and any regulatory obligations attached to its products.
- Any liability for a study, analysis, or training session is capped at the fee for that service, a cap that falls away if the loss stems from intentional wrongdoing or serious carelessness on our part.
7. Fees and Changes to Scope
- Fees are those stated on the services page on the date the scope is signed, invoiced in Japanese yen, with consumption tax shown separately. Travel to plants outside the Tokyo area is quoted in the scope.
- If the client asks to add a defect class, a second line, or a further training group after the scope has been signed, we will quote the addition in writing before carrying it out.
8. Legal Information
- These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
- Disputes will first be addressed through direct discussion between the parties; failing that, the matter goes before the Tokyo District Court.
- If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
- These terms may be updated from time to time, with changes reflected on this page. A signed engagement scope continues under the terms in force on the date it was signed.
